How do you make a cork bulletin board?

I am planning on making a 8' by 4' cork bulletin board.

1. get a whole bunch of wine corks, glue them on a pice of plywood.
2. If you go to one of your local arts and crafts stores like Michael's or Joanne's Fabrics you can buy cork for bulletin boards there. Another possible source and second hand shops, Salvation Army, Goodwill, and other thrift stores. Sometimes they have used cork boards there that you could peel off and use on the board you are making. Also, there may be some local business offices that have old bulletin boards stored away they aren't using anymore that might be willing to get them out of there office. I know we have a few lingering around our workplace.
