creating a family themed bulletin board?
I am in college and I need help for my Foundations in Early Childhood Education Class. I have to do a thematic unit on Families. Basically a unit of lesson plans based on families. I am stuck on what to do for my bulletin board. It HAS to be interactive. Any ideas?? or something to get the ball rolling?

- Maybe you could do something about the different rolls of the different family members. Cooking, cleaning, spirtual director, entertainer, scheduler, driver. And have pocket with mother, father, daughter, son, baby, grandmother, etc. You could include a picture of each family member on their pocket and write the different rolls on popsicle sticks that could me moved from pocket to pocket. Children would enjoy being able to see who does what and how it varies from family to family.
- Create trees out of foam rubber. Make leaves that Velcro (or attach somehow) on the branches. The leaves are for the family members. The branches could be such things as foundations for healthy family influences such as support, creativity, family unit time.
Or, build houses with foundations=basements, family togetherness=downstairs, dreams and plans=bedrooms, memories and ancestors in the attic. Connect neighborhoods and schools.
Or create a Majong-like game board with things that are connected. The center being the child.
