What type of board is best for doing flooring in a moblehome in bathrooms?

I live in a moblehome that is made with particle board for the flooring. I want to put ceramic tile in now instead of what I did a few years ago which was lanolium tiles. What works best for the subflooring so I do not need to repair it any longer? What is required ? Someone with knowledge on the subject please.

  1. You will need a good grade of plywood that has been well sealed against moisture and things like termites.

The floor will need to be well braced to hold the weight of the tiles.

Most large home supply stores have "how to" books on laying tile and there are rental places where you can get a tile saw--but you should bone up on doing a tile floor before you attempt it yourself. Most home supply stores have workshops also, so check with them about those as well.

    Also, check this link:

There are all sorts of tiles out there to choose from also. Porcelain tile--very durable

Ceramic tile--get a grade between 3 and 5 as they have more of a ceramic layer baked on--and a bath is a well trafficked area
