How can one write 12th board exam by not attending school?

Hi guys, one of my friend he failed in CBSE 12th board in 2005 exams thereafter he never attemted to write the exam. Since, he is facing lot of problem in work places due to this. I need to suggest him, how to write the 12board after 3 years. When i visited CBSE website it was mentioned that person who failed previous year only can appear as a private student. So guys please advice me what to do to this issue already 3 long years has been wasted.

1. hey buddy , There are many options w/o doing 12th . u can opt for some poly tech courses, they are often considered as lower courses but if u take it seriously, its as good as basic engineering,U Can take admission in B.E. or B.Tech after this
